Birthday's and Gas Prices

Happy Birthday to my little sister Emily. Happy first 3 months of life to our niece Mhari. 11 days left on the Meghan countdown.Another mid-wife appt. tomorrow morning. Unless I get lucky and go into labor. One can always hope.I haven't been having as much contractions or movement lately. So I want to find out what's going on in there. While I was driving Jason to work this morning, we couldn't help but notice the lowering gas prices. We saw 2.49 a gallon twice. Of course that is the lowest grade. Heck, the only grade we can afford these days. Another thing I am noticing is all the lovely leaves changing color. It's so pretty. By for now.

I am anxious to see if I have made anymore progress at wedsnesday mornings mid wife appointment. Still trying to be patient and leave it in God's hands. But it sure is hard. At least I know if she doesn't come on her own, I will get induced eventually. I am hoping the won't make me go all the way to 41 weeks. And would induce on my due date. I will ask at the appointment. Have a good week everyone.

No Meghan yet

It's confusing because the ultrasound I had said I was 5 days farther along, with a due date of Nov.1st and not the 6th. But of course the doctors want to go with the other due date. So that leaves me at 38 weeks still. And 14 days to go. I wish things would hurry up. It is so frustrating. Syd is doing well.Jason's schedule has changed yet again. He now works 1pm-10pm on sunday and 10am-8pm monday-thursday.The nice thing is it should allow for a normal sleep schedule again. Which he really needs. It looks like Grandma and Grandpop Rivers should feel some of the effects of Hurricane Wilma. But should be okay.At least the winds have slowed down. The Av's got beat saturday by the Canucks. Bummer.Hope you all are well.We will continue to wait for Miss Meghan.

Meghan update

Today was another check-up. The doctor said I am currently 2 cms. dilated and had a soft cervix. Baby is down in position for her arrival. At least all the contractions I have been having are doing something. The thought is it won't be too much longer before labor starts. I am hoping it will be before Monday. Sometime this weekend would be just fine.If not next wedsnesday is another mid-wife appointment. In fact she is moving as I write this. Grandma Dolly has her bag packed and gas tank filled to come up as soon as things start. It is about a 2 and 1/2 hour drive for her. It is assumed my labor should be about 4-5 hours this time. At least that is what the docs has told me.Grandma Dolly is going to stay with us a few days and help with Syd so I can get adjusted to my new little one, etc.Plus I don't want Syd in the room for the delivery. I feel it would be too traumatic for her.It appears Hurricane Wilma is headed for our family in Florida so please keep them all in your prayers. It's time for CSI, So good night all.

We are on day 3 of this crazy mission.I even bought some different cups that have a soft silicone spout and not the hard plastic kind. In hopes it would be more bottle like. So between not giving in to her crying spells(so far so good) and my frustration(wanting to cry)with the fact I feel I will be pregnant forever. When is labor going to start? That is the question.Life has been a little tense you could say around here. Not to mention that Jason has been working 10-12 hour days lately.I am so curious to see what Dr.Watt has to say tomorrow. I plan on asking him "How much longer to I have to wait to be induced?" We shall see. At least everyday is one day closer to the actual due date. I think 13 days left. This baby has to come out sometime.Oh, trying to be patient, not nearly as easy as it sounds.

But the season is still young. They did lose a lot of their big name players. Happy to see the White Sox going to the Series. I mean it has been 45 years, since the last one.Happy Monday All!

There were 2 baby's born while we were there. Ahh, the excitement. All my pre-registration paperwork is done.It was funny, our tour guide kept telling me to sit down. Like I was going to drop the baby out right there. I have been having lots, and lots of contractions. It's getting to be a regular evening event. So I hope we won't be waiting too much longer.I keep telling her to start at anytime.Syd has recovered nicely from her virus. And is back to her destructive self.So will see what the lastest news is on thursday's doctor's appt. Providing she doesn't come before that. I wish she would.;-)

She has been sick yesterday and today.Fighting a fever, throwing up,trouble sleeping at night, a lot of crying, etc. I had an ultrasound this morning. The tech said the baby is full term, with plenty of fluid, head down and looking good. The heartbeat is what it should be. And the machine gave us a due date of Nov.1st.Which is 5 days early then we had guessed. He said though you a never completely accurate. So she can come at anytime. It could be tomorrow or 3 weeks from now.I guess only time will tell.

I keep telling her she can come anyday after sunday. We'll see if she is listening.Or going to be stubborn like her sister and cousin. Had a midwife appointment this afternoon. All still seems okay in MeghanLand. I have an ultrasound thursday morning to see if she is head down for the delivery. And then the birthcenter tour saturday afternoon. The next doctor appointment on thursday. As long as things continue normally one of the midwives will deliever her and not a doc. Which is fine with me.Because they are there for support through out the labor and delivery process. And not just at baby time. Besides I just have this thing about a man delivering a baby. I am weird I know. And we can't forget Syd will be 2 on thursday.Wow. Where does the time go?

Awesome. She is fighting a bit of a cold. But it doesn't seem to bug her too much. Still can't believe she will be 2 on thursday. It has been raining alot here. But we kinda like it, because the temp has finally cooled down abit. It actually seems like fall now. We are happy hockey season has started we just wish we could see some of the Av's games. From what I have seen on the net, we won't be able to watch any until mid November. At least it won't be too far into the season.Other than that I am anxiously awaiting Tuesday afternoon, to see how the baby is doing.Bye all, And Go Av's!

Okay, It's the little things that count. But I am just so excited that Syd has slept all night in her own bed for 3 nights in a row. Knowing that another little girl is soon going to be sharing our bed/bedroom it makes me very happy. Especially since with my expanded belly the bed is very crowded with both Momma, Daddy and Syd already. It's time to make breakfast, so have a great weekend everyone.

What a great store. I love finding good bargins.I am very anxious for next tuesdays doctors appoinment. I have the feeling we are getting close to Meghan time. So we should find out more next week. At least I am hoping so. I am supposedly having an ultrasound next week also. And I would think that would show something.I think the waiting is one of the hardest parts.Bye for now. Happy belated Birthday Grandpa Rivers!

We are cleaning today. We will have our first overnight visitors tomorrow. My Mom and Grandma Bev are coming for a visit. So I am very excited about that as well. We will also get to see Craig for the day. I am sure Syd will get very excited when they show up. We also got started with WIC yesterday. They help with things like nutrition, breastfeeding support and food checks. So I am happy about that.I really, really want to make breastfeeding work this time, So I was happy to hear they have a support group for other first time breastfeeding moms. You can be sure I will be involved in that.It rained something terrible yesterday. But in a way it was rather peaceful. Sydney will be 2 in 12 days. So hard to believe. We are expecting Meghan not to long after that. I just have this gut feeling she will be here in October and not November. Her due date is Nov.6th. Although Sydney was a full 41 weeks.I will post again after we have our visitors. I am sure I will have pictures. Peace and love to all.

Offically 45 days left until the duedate. But I wouldn't mind if she was a week or 2 early. Only 3 and a half weeks left until she can be born full-term. Just heard that my cousin Jackie got engaged. So Congrats go out it her and David. As well as Congrats to Robin and Ken on anniversary #2.Bye for now.

I can't wait to hear how Meghan is doing. I will post more later.Bye all.

Syd's blankets are her favorite thing. She lovingly calls them "feefees".So here is a great picture of her happiness. A new feefee, a cup of juice and some Blue's Clue's on the t.v.And life is all good. We are under the 2 month mark on the Meghan countdown. YEAH!I get more excited every day.

Relief and Happy Birthday Papa

100_5326
Originally uploaded by Jessica Briggs-Rivers.
Wednesday Syd and I went to the playground. She seemed to have more fun with the gravel then the toys. Big suprise huh?Well, today I actually found a clinic that will take me(state run of course) with our insurance still pending. So next wednesday we are off to see Dr. Liem. I don't know if it's a male or female doc. But at this point I don't care. I am starting to get a bit anxious, because I am 2 weeks overdue for a prenatal check-up.But at least I have been pregnant before, and know what I should or shouldn't be feeling. So far things seem okay.At least I haven't had any problems with this pregnancy to worry about. So I am looking forward to wednesday. Jason has been working like crazy. Only 1 day off last week. And none this week.He is suppose to have next thursday off,but we will believe it when it actually happens. Poor guy has been struggling with his bread making a bit more than he and his bosses expected I think.I still can't believe Syd will be 2 in a month. We drove around the city last night.Saw more of the area than we had. It was fun. I am looking forward to checking out downtown, as well as Portland.I am used to Monroe,a nice size of 15,000 people. Vancouver is 140,000. So it is still a big adjustment. So far I like it though. We continue to find new places to eat. Last night I wouldn't settle for anything less than some teriyaki. Ah pregnancy cravings.;-)And we found a great little place near here. It was yummy and not very pricey. So that made our day. Plus I love supporting small Mom and Pop operations. This place was rather busy as well. So that was nice. I guess that's it. Still working on the bedrooms. It's hard for me to do much when Jason isn't here, beacause our girl loves getting into everything she shouldn't be in. And since this is a apartment they won't let us use the normal screw in childlocks, so we are modifing them with 3M adhesive. But it takes a bit more effort to do.As well as energy, which I don't much of these days. Hope everyone who reads this is doing well. And Happy Birthday PAPA!!!!!!!!!!!!

We even have pictures on the walls. A major accomplishment. The tough thing is my lack of energy. But Jason seems to understand. And isn't giving me a hard time about my daily naps or being the last one up in the morning. Well laundry is calling my name. Peace be with all of you. Jess

It's Jason's only day off this week. It's hard try to get things done around the house as well as takeing care of Syd. She is all over these days. And loves to get in trouble.I will be 32 weeks on Sunday. Which I think is the 8 month mark.I was suppose to go see the doc this week. But ended up here in Vancouver instead. I hope to get the insurance stuff straigten out this coming week and can get into see and find an ob/gyn.I can still feel her moving and all that so we are not to worried yet.I can always go to the ER if the need arose. I just but Syd to bed. So It's time for some me time now. Jason and I found a movie to watch On Demand. Love that. No more going to Blockbuster. Sweet. Alright. Good Night all.
