And it is only 7 miles from our new apartment to Jason's new job in Portland at Champion Distribution. Where he will be baking breads and doing some research and design. So needless to say our lives our lives are changing in big ways. A new baby soon, new job, new city and new home. Shirts? Who needs shirts?
It is pretty well known that most small children don't like wearing clothes. Sydney has decided she just doesn't like wearing shirts. So here she is shirtless. At least I got her to keep her pants on.

Meghan Update
We had another Dr's Appt this morning. And things couldn't be better. Her heart sounded great at about 145-150 beats a minute. The size is great , with my uterus at about 29 inches long. My weight is fine. Just 1 pound over what I was when I first got pregnant. As well as okay blood work. No gestional diabetes to worry about. So we go back in 3 weeks, then 2 visits 2 weeks apart, then going every week after that. So all is good with her and me.

28 weeks today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is a photo of Syd practicing with Daddy. He was out in the backyard with his various sword type objects and Syd just had to join him. Hitting the wood/target with a chopstick. It was very cute and this doesn't do it justice. But the best shot I got. It reached 96 degrees here today. Way to hot for most of us, but Syd she doesn't seem to mind and loves running around in just a diaper. Meghan and I have reached another milestone. The 3rd and last trimester. Only 11 more weeks and we will get to see our precious, little Meghan. I am anxious to see how Sydney reacts to her little sister. I saw another new baby at church today, little Ethan only 2 weeks old. And it gets me very excited to know that I won't have to wait too much longer. Less than 3 months at least. We have another doctor visit and I am excited to see how things are going. Due to Jason's recent job change( no job yet, but some promising prospects) he gets to go with me tomorrow. So he can here the heartbeat for the first time. It always chokes me up.;-)I hope to have a picture of my ever growing babyness on here soon. Once I can get Jason to take it. As you may have noticed I do most of the picture taking, since I am not in any of the photos. Thanks again to Robin,Ken and Grandma and Grandpa Rivers for the digital camera. It gets a lot of use. That of course will only increase once Meghan arrives. She is very active now. Kicking a lot. A sort of "Mommy I am still here thing". Already keeping me up at night. As if I need to be reminded of how our lives will change yet again. I will write after our visit tomorrow, to give a Meghan update. Love to all of you, Jess,Jason,Sydney and Meghan.

Jolly Green Girl
Thia is what happens when Syd gets ahold of a pen. She breaks it and covers herself in ink.At least it was another one of our hot days when she gets to run around in a diaper. Or I think we would have had ruined clothes.Note to self: Don't give in to the cuteness and let her have a pen.

The Columbia
Here is Jason and Sydney in the Columbia River. When we went to over to stay with my Grandpa Bob.I think Sydney was a bit scared, but seem to do alright. It was her first time in a river. And the swimsuit her Grandpa and Grandma Rivers neighbors gave her still fits. It worked great. Especially in the pool there. Can you tell I am having fun with posting pictures now?
Slide Action
Sydney's favorite thing to do at the park is the slide. Forget the toddler swings. Slides are where it's at. Unless there is a sandbox around. We are hoping to get one of those covered plastic ones soon for her. I think it would be a bit cleaner then the dirt and rocks , she plays with now. As well as more fun of course.
Miss Hailey
Here is a sleeping Miss Hailey. Who is now 4 months old. For those who don't know, she is my best friend Sara's baby girl. I can't wait till Meghan makes her debut and they can play together.Just under 3 months now. We have another check-up Monday morning. So we will see how we both are doing. How far we have come. Sara and I have been best buds since 6th grade and now we are both married and have little girls.Wow. It still seems so amazing some times. I love being a Mom. Even though it is really hard work.

We Have Pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As you can see we are finally starting to get some things fiqured out on Blogging. So here is a picture that shows just how much Sydney likes baths.Someone had accidently left some water in the tub and Syd decided she wanted another bath.Clothes and all. It's hard to believe that on Saturday Syd will be 22 months old. I can still remember what it was like being pregnant with her.Heck, my best friend's daughter Hailey is turning 4 months old already. The countdown countinues with Miss Meghan, as we are just under 3 months to go. This week marks the last week of the 2nd trimester.Very Exciting. That's all for tonight. Now that we have pictures I hope to be writing alot more often.

Another Blood Draw & Anniversary #3
Well, Today along with Meghan of course I went in for another blood test. This makes I think number 6 for this pregnancy. Needless to say it's getting a bit old. This test was for gestional diabetes. Which is a necessary test performed on all pregnancies between 25 and 28 weeks.I didn't have it with Sydney and I hope not to with Meghan either.Meghan and I are half way through week 26 now.2 more weeks and we will be in the home stretch also known as the 3rd trimester. It has been a hot few weeks here. Alot of days in the mid eighties. With the temp suppose to be reaching 90 tomorrow. Sydney has discovered climbing and is climbing everything she can.Today is also the 3rd anniversary of our marriage. It's hard to believe .Time has gone by so fast.

Too Hot!
I guess you would call it a heat wave. Yesterday a toasty 92 degrees here. And in western Washington that's a little hotter then we are used too. So needless to say I didn't get the dishes or laundry done . It was just too darn hot. At least too much for this pregnant lady. Sydney gets to run around just wearing her pull-ups so she thinks it's neat. Oh how nice it would be to have air conditioning. We'll see how hot it gets today.

Our niece has made her debut
Baby Mhari made her debut this morning. She is 7lbs 3oz and 19 inches long. Mhari was a week and a day overdue, just like her cousin Sydney. I am hoping Meghan won't follow in their footsteps. Speaking of Meghan we are on week 25 now. I had my check up this morning and so far everything is good. Now we will be going every 3 weeks instead of 4. So we are getting closer to her arrival everyday. We had a great weekend in Desert Aire. The weather was great, sunny and in the mid 90's. I did get a bit of a sunburn though. Sydney even had her first experience in a river. The mighty Columbia River felt great to this pregnant lady. And then we went to the pool for some more water fun. Hope all is well. And welcome to the family Mhari!

Another week closer
Meghan and I have made it to week 24 now. Only 15 more weeks to go. Our niece Mhari hasn't made her debut yet. Should be anytime now. Sydney has discovered how much she loves water. She loves having her little pool in the backyard. Sunday was a busy day for us. We had church in the morning and then had to rush home to get things set up for my Mom's 50th Birthday BBQ. It was great fun with lots of family and neighborhood friends. The weather cooperated nicely with sun and a temp of about 80 degrees. Yesterday was a bit warm for my taste with the temp at a toasty 95 degrees.Jason is busy working up to 60 hours a week currently. Not to much else going on. We are anxiously waiting for this weekend, since we will be having some birthday fun at Grandpa's in Desert Aire on the majestic Columbia River. Hope all is well.

Week 23
Meghan and I are enjoying week 23 now.Only 16 more to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Poor Jason is a little bummed because he of course was wishing for a boy.I promised I wouldn't rule out having a third child. But we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. It was cute though, yesterday at church he kept rubbing Meghan and telling everyone he could about her. Now that we know her gender. Syd did something funny on Saturday. I had a few inches of water in the tub to bathe our 2 dogs and 2 cats.I went to get Bailey our 3 legged cat and came back to the bathroom and Syd was sitting in the tub clothes and all. It was cute. She just loves water. I am still figuring out how to get the pictures from the Flickr to the blog. So I will eventually get it posted because it's so cute. Although I had just gotten her dressed and she had to be changed again. Hope you all had a great weekend.

Waiting
We hope everyone had a nice 4th. We did a few hard hours of yardwork in the morning and then had Grandma Bev over for a yummy BBQ in the evening. And watched the neighborhood fireworks in the darkness. I had a very nice birthday on Sunday. We went to church, then out to our new Red Robin for lunch, and Brian and Natalie gave me a surprise birthday party that afternoon. It was a day full of lots of good food, friends and fun. When we got home at 10pm that night, I was one tired Momma to be. I swear the baby is getting bigger every day. I love all the kicks I get now, to let me know it's there. My neurologist has me on a new treatment for the migraines I have been suffering from. Friday is a trip to my neuropthamoglist for a check on the Pseudotumor. It has been a concern lately with all the headaches. Hopefully everything will be okay.I am very excited because tomorrow is my 3rd ultrasound. So hopefully we will be able to find out the gender. Much love to you all.And only 17 more weeks to go!

Movies and such
Last week we watched Meet the Fockers. And it was pretty funny and cute. So if you need a laugh, I highly recommend it.The last film we saw in the theaters, was Star Wars Episode 3. It was rather good. But in my opinion, I don't think any new Star Wars movie can compare to the original trilogy. 2 movies Mom and I recently enjoyed are Being Julia and Finding Neverland.I think both are out on video now and are really good and well done.Yesterdays doctors appt was fine. Everything seems to be right on schedule. Except for the doctor. She was running behind schedule and I was finally seen about an hour and a half late. She wasn't even on call doing deliveries. Oh well. It wouldn't have bothered me so much, but Syd had trouble waiting so long.I hope to have pictures up on here soon.Still trying to get things figured out.Anyway, I hope to write again soon.

21 weeks and counting
Well, only 19 more weeks until Shrimp arrives.Yes, I am counting every week.Just a little excited are we?I am looking forward to my doctor's appt this afternoon. I love hearing the baby's heartbeat. As for Shrimp's cousin Mhari, she should be making her debut any day now.Hang in there Robin and Ken it's so worth the wait. And false alarms.I only had one with Sydney.:-)We have had a pretty good week. We all (except Jason, he had to work;-() went over to Sprague for Hugh's 80th birthday party.(He is my step Uncle.)And then spent the rest of the weekend relaxing at my Grandpa Bob's in lovely and hot Desert Aire.I am taking Jason and Sydney back over there for Jason's birthday weekend on the 23rd.It's going to be fun, fun, fun!I am also excited to be turning 25 on this Sunday. Yeah!!!!!!!!!That's it for now. Much love to all,

Half way there
Well, we are just starting the second half the pregnancy. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Had the ultrasound yesterday. Unfortunately Shrimp had it's back and side to us. So we still don't know it's gender yet. I go back on July 7th for my 3rd ultrasound. The doctor needs to get a good look at the baby's chest to see how it is developing. She wants to see the heart the most. Although we can hear a good heartbeat, so their not to worried.I got some great looks at a neat looking spine and hands. It was fun to see the baby's feet moving around. She gave me a picture with the baby waving at us. We know it has all it's fingers. I feel kinda lucky to get another glimpse in 2 weeks and we hope it will have turned around so we can get a look at the front of it. I was concerned about the baby's size because, I have been losing weight not gaining it.Although I am growing outwards. But it appears the baby is taking my extra weight and converting it to what is needed.Plus we have been working on what we eat around here.Shrimp appears just fine. So that's the news for now.

New project
Yesterday was my last day of work at Fred Meyer.Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So one of my new projects is going to be selling Melaleca products. I think it's going to be mostly done via the internet which is nice. So we will see how it goes. We have been using alot of their products the last 2 months and been quite happy with them. I will be starting some training in the coming weeks. I have posted their link so you can check them out. They are called The Wellness Company. And have been around for 25 years. From what I understand the products are about being better for you and the enviroment while being more cost effective. So please take a look at what they have to offer and let me know if you are interested. Shrimp seems to be doing well.Offically 19 weeks along and moving frequently. I swear this kid is going to come out fencing.Syd is getting more interesting every day.Still working on the bed thing and getting her off bottles. But pretty good overall. Talking more and moving faster every day. Only one week until the big ultrasound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Names
I regularly get asked if we have thought of names for Shrimp. Well of course we have. If it is a girl it would be Megan Ann Rivers. For a boy we have chosen Simon Robert Rivers. Now new ideas are always coming in. So don't be surprised if the baby has a name totally different come delivery day. But these are our current picks. We welcome any ideas or comments on names for the wee one. So feel free to drop a comment or two. Hope you all are well.

18 weeks
I am now offically 18 weeks pregnant. Very exciting. We will have a ticker up here once we get it fiqured out. As well of pictures of course. We are all doing pretty well. Can't wait to see how Shrimp is coming along in 2 weeks. And saturday is my last day of work at Fred Meyer. It is going to be strange not having a paying job.Sydney got her first set of sheets yesterday, Care Bears of course. She is doing well in her bed for naps, But is still getting used to sleeping in it all night long. We are proud of her though. In about 22 weeks , sleeping with Mommy and Daddy isn't going to be an option for her.Since Shrimp will be with us going back an forth from bed to co- sleeper.I guess that's it for now. Hope everyone is well.

The Next Step
Sydney is growing up so much every day.Her latest adventure is a new bed. She is learning to sleep in a twin bed now, instead of her crib. Which of course well get used again in the not to distant future. We will be setting up the much used Co-Sleeper for Shrimp's first few months of life though.I guess that's it for now.
